Verona - ideal base to explore Veneto

Veneto is one of Italy's 20 regions and is one of the most popular. But most visitors rush through on the way to its capital - Venice - unaware of what they are missing.

Being at the crossing of the north/south and east/west autostradas and railway lines Verona is in a geographically ideal location to explore Veneto and other easily accessible places of interest.

Look at the map below and you will see what I mean.

• To the West - Lake Garda, the biggest of the Italian lakes
• To the North - the Dolomites. spectacular mountains, Trento, Rovereto and Bolzano
• To the East - Vicenza, Padua and of course Venice
• To the South - Mantua, the Po valley, Parma and Bologna

All easily accessible by road or by rail.
